If any local politician is worth his/her salt they would be calling for a public inquiry at this point. This has gone beyond simply being a badly provided service. This is now becoming a service which is not fit for purpose, and more public funds are being thrown at it. There is enough evidence here for a charge of misconduct in a public office.
