Whilst I applaud the devolution of power to a local level, one only has to look at the debacle of TfGM and realise that this is a really bad idea. With a two-horse bus monopoly that won't use integrated ticketing, has a stranglehold on the market and arbitrarily increases prices and a criminally flawed light rail system, you have to question whether TfGM is fit to manage any other transport infrastructures.
