This sounds like a really odd idea. I like it and I don't like it.

I like more local power - thumbs up I do like that the new power would mean we get a say over priories in electrification. I don't like that TfGM may be responsible for the tracks, that should be left with network rail, we've seen what problems this could cause and it's why it was renationalised. I don't like joining Northern & FTPE that just seems madness. I don't like the idea that TfGM could replace trains with metrolink, they fail enough without causing this chaos.

I would like a smart ticketing system though.
