To be fair to metrolink they are no the only incompotent rail operator around. Travelling back from London on Friday the Virgin train slowed down to let othr services hurtle past us, then the conductor came on to announce we were late due to speed resrictions being placed on the line !!!! Do these companies think we are all blind? So I get to Manchester and ask the chap at the virgin desk for a complaint form. The look of horrer on his face, it was as if I had asked him to show me a really complex magic trick. He asks why, I tell him we are 45minutes late and I believe virgin were lying about the speed restrictions. At which point he says, we don't expect people to complain unless they are more than an hour late !!! An hour late on a two hour journey before you can complain and you want £279 for that and our MP's and councillors do nothing about it. Pathetic.
