Suppose someone is injured in an industrial accident at Carrington at 1645.
The nearest A & E is less than ten minutes away but to take the a patient to MRI, into, across and then out of the city, at peak time, would take at least 30 minutes and more like 45. Then, when they arrive, they discover that the unit has closed for the day at 1700. Will the patient then be treated in the normal A & E at MRI, 30 - 40 minutes later than they would have been treated at the nearest A & E when we are told that every minute counts towards the success or otherwise of the treatment?
Who dreamt this one up?
