If you ride any mechanically propelled machine on a pubilc highway you are bound by the Road Traffic act to abide by the laws of the road. Since you have just published a written confession that you have broken the law, I expect there may be a police officer reading this whomight want to consider taking the matter further. Deliberately going through a red light is a road traffic offence and if you're worried about being killed by lorries turning left, then stay behind them until they've turned! Maybe you should have taken a "Cyling Proficiency" test!
