A very well written, and to the point, artical. Having no atmosphere at Old Trafford is a big issue that needs to be addressed but this has been the case for a number of seasons now. It is not just about buying a big named player in midfield, we are in need of somebody that will rattle players, get stuck in and are not afraid of winning challengers. Carrick has shown this a few times this season but other than that we seem to be allowing the opposition to win the first ball and then having to work to win it back. Asking for a Toure in midfield is what every manchester united fan would want but realistically that is not going to happen.

United have shown this season that despite the lack of confidence in the team from the fans, we have gone on to only get beat by goal difference. We have the players to perform and we also have players on the bench to change games. Personally, as long as we buy another midfielder I would be happy to go out next season with the same team. Give the midfield some more depth and make the players work for their place as the quality is there, just not being shown.
