Seven years ago, friends of mine were beaten up on Warwick Road for sitting down in protest against the Glazer take over. They have never returned to OT. Reds from the 70's who were at every game, home and away, UK and Europe.

I was surprised to see the financial figures released today show our debt is no longer being eaten away. The Glazer model of winning every trophy, every year to packed houses is unravelling before our very eyes. They must have been acutely aware of this as they have dipped into the OT coffers and that is why they looked to Asia to float. What happened? Spin after spin after spin...

The great balancing act SAF has produced for 3-4 years is no longer attainable. It is the 'end of the errand' as my mate waxed lyrical yesterday in his own inimitable Manchester way.

Wake up chaps. City have left us behind. No one can compete with those riches. However we will be on the Liverpool slide if they remain with us at the helm for another season. I have said it since 2005 - i hate to be right on this one.

I sincerely hope they have a rabbit to pull out of the hat lest we disappear up our own backsides like the Dodo.
