My observation about pavement cyclists is that they are predominantly children and young adults.

I can forgive children, and but the young adults are interesting. They clearly think that cyclists should not be on the road. They seem to disappear so that there are very few of them are around by their mid-twenties. I think it's reasonable to suppose that they've got cars by then, and are happily terrorising cyclists and pedestrians.
