Lib Dems may not blame Clegg but the rest of us do. We know the Tories are the Nasty Party. The reason that the Lib Dems are given a worse kicking is for allowing them to get away with it on tuition fees and privatisation of parts of the NHS to companies that donate to several MPs and Peers, or where those parliamentarians have jobs on the board.
The only way the Lib Dems will make a comeback is to ditch Clegg and leave the coalition. Just look at the number of seats where they were doing well and are now in 4th, 5th or 6th place now with lost deposits (If Local elections had depositis - for pedantic Black Flag). The protest votes will move to UKIP in Tory areas and Green in Labour/Lib Dem areas now instead of to the LDs.
Take a good look - you may like clegg or being in government with the nasty party but this is the north and it'll take a long time to forgive.
