Just worked out the results in percentage terms for my ward of Crumpsall and neighbouring Cheetham. Crumpsall, which used to be a swing ward between Labour and Tory twenty years ago, now looks very different. Labour (Richard Leese) 78.61, Tory 7.09, Ukip 6.96, Green and Lib Dems lost deposits with 4.95 and 2.43% respectively (Figures rounded to two decimal places).
Cheetham which used to be a safe Labour ward but in recent years has swung between Labour and Lib Dem also looks very different today.
Cheetham Labour 62.33, Independent 24.44, Green 5.69, Tory 4.24, Lib Dem 2.83 so Lib Dems and Tories lost deposits.
In both wards, Lib Dems finished a humiliating 5th. Not worked out any other wards yet because it's a pain using a computers calculator.
Right, can now take off my amateur psephologists hat and go back to sleep :)
