I used to enjoy years ago shopping in Oldham ,and looking around the market,when it was good and worth visiting ,and now? I never go there,Bury is the place ,best market,best shops and lots of atmosphere.The public in Oldham will gain nothing from this unreliable,inefficient and expensive tram system. Hardly a week goes by without problems on the existing system ,never mind Oldham /Rochdale etc. which are still to come.
Just listen to local radio and you will hear the delays ,cancellations on the existing system every week. If a bus breaks down it has a problem with 1 service,if a tram breaks down ,is derailed or points and signals do not work it ruins the WHOLE network. Please remember this tomorrow,if you intend to vote and punish the politicos who have dared to saddle us with this dreadful system.
