Thank goodness there's enough money to pay for the town hall restoration shooting eight hundred throusand pounds over budget, building refuse centres without planning permission and scrapping them costing half a million quid, sending out malicious emails regarding local wildlife centre staff and being fined eighty grand for doing so, or and buying chairs for town hall staff at a grand a pop.

So long as this essential spending is protected, it's not important that kids can't get to school, bridges fall down, frontline staff are made redundant, and the roads crumble before our very eyes.
