if it con charge was ever about the enviroment and pollution then it would have been given the yes vote.
some where fooled into thinking it was. most where not.
90% of the upgrades we where promised if we voted yes have gone ahead anyway. the money was already set aside for it. it was just another way to tax people. and then everyone would be paying in higher running costs. businesses where already looking to relocate outside of manchester.
public transport is still poor. trams never working, buses that run only where the bus company see fit to run, i was looking to catch a train on sunday, guess what? its been replaced by a bus service.
when public transport is constant and reliable then people will get out of the cars and use it.
