The humiliating 2011/2012 season will be over in two weeks. Thank goodness! Regardless of whether Newcastle do us any favours, there have been some humbling losses this season and nonsense out of Ferguson and his camp. Scholes, Giggs, Park, Carrick, and Jones clogging the midfield isn't going to stem the creativity of a midfield like City's for 90 minutes and for that to be the tactic shows how far we have fallen from the heady heights of the Ronaldo era. I am not saying that 4-4-2 was the way to go, but there was absollutely no threat. We needed Valencia to start at least. There will be more humiliation to come if there is not significant quality investment in the team this summer. I think this loss was very humiliating for Fergie and hopefully will serve as a catalyst for a rebuild. Unfortunately a defender, two midfielders and a striker are required.
