Is it me or is scoring goals THE only important thing that is considered to be player of the year, oh and playing for either utd,liverpool, aresnal or any other london club, Players from other clubs are constantly overlooked (some body will quote one instance to the contrary I'm sure) especially from none trophy winning teams. Defenders rarely get a look in, when Tony Book won it he had to share it with Clarke as I recall. Nobody expected a City player to get any awards but Scholes and Rooney now thats just taking the p**s. Has Van Persie been any better than Ba or Aguero where Silva and Toure have totally outshone the 2 rags ,or maybe I'm just bias. A bit like the joke press really, nothing ever changes. Even Gab Marcotti (who is usually worth listening to) is showing his fondness for Ferguson a bit to often now. Ah well lets hope come the end of the season we have the only trophy we really want and Mario stays if only to wind up the mugs on SKY and in the press.
