As it passes down the A6 through Stockport, perhaps it could take a small detour to Peel Moat leisure centre, soon to be derelict and abandoned after being closed by the Council. If someone hasn't beaten them to it, they could set what's left alight. Perhaps Councillor Goddard could do it himself. Olympic legacy? Only for the winners.
