Just where are all these jobs? A recent search of mine on a jobsearch website, looking for all jobs within 10 miles of Rochdale posted within a 7 day period brought up 7 jobs - 1 per day amongst 8160 people don't go far! And don't tell me we should be looking further afield - if you rely on public transport (like me, due to a disability) it takes up so much of your free time (are we still allowed that?) and (minimum) wage that you don't have much of either left to spend in order to help the economy
