Well, I wish I could contact the lad personally. I've followed Italian football on a weekly basis since 1986 and before that on an irregular basis. First of all it's corrupt. Juventus having been among the biggest offenders. It's easy to win matches in Serie A if the opposition's best players are consistently suspended before Juventus play them. It's been proved that this happened in the recent past - remember Calciopoli. Referees and linesmen have also been tapped up. Young players get very little opportunity to show their skills and Juventus are already being linked with two new expert midfielders. Then on a weekly basis there are cases of racism and it's very unpleasant. Finally, Serie A is not an exciting place to be - it's overtactical and cynical. Players are likely to get serious injuries in the last third of the park. All in all, why leave for Juventus? Indeed they have a great Serie A record, but Manchester United is a bigger club with better facilities and a better manager and far better fans.
