I just feel, like many people the UK is moving forward in material ways rather than building on its core which is it's social problems. The government needs to spend a lot of money on the justice system, give the police some dignified power to gain some respect back on the streets.

I would like to think I am proud to be british and it is nice from a heritage POV that we have a monarchy but it is overshadowed by so many far more important issues that don't ever seem to be getting resolved. The government is trying to build on a country that is almost destroyed both financially and socially.

High speed rail link anyone? please....
