Matt, I understand your comment re a media blackout, as I can't say that I've seen much on the MEN website about this. However, did neither of the two sides post leaflets through letter boxes, put up posters etc? Could that explain the poor turnout? If Grendel's figures are correct, 17,344 isn't much of a ringing endorsement, is it? Will you stand for the post?
