A little off topic, but there is evidence to suggest that some people are more likely to be victims of crime than others. I think in one experiment (in New York) a group of convicted criminals were shown a video of people walking in the street and asked to pick who they would choose to rob; there was a strong correlation between who they chose.

Body language and a percieved lack of confidence seemed to be the determining factors.
