I would like to know how to determine the value of an elected major when compared to the current system (whereby - from what I understand - the mayor IS actually elected, on our behalf, by a group of his/her peers).

Therefore, answer this:

(1.) How much would the proposed elected mayor be paid, and how what their effectiveness be measured (*true* performance based pay, perhaps?) ?

(2.) How would the proposed role differ to that of the current role of Chief Executive Officer?
