Well here we go yet again,Rochdale and the discredited ConDems,and also the Labour rabble ,are the laughing stock not only of the area ,but of the country.
Who gives this lot the right to keep rearranging the seats on the Titanic,whilst the orchestra plays, and the ship goes down? We are now on the 3rd consecutive ruling politburo,who have not been elected to govern,and due to defections and the councillors( desperate attempts to cling on to power ,and their wages) will sell anything to hang on in there.
They have no mandate ,and no legitimate claim to hold power.How can Mr Lambert make the absolutely absurd claim that Labour ,who seized power in December (with no legitimate mandate) take on board yet more defectors on the council,and say that they are bringing honesty and transparancy to Rochdale council?
Get Trading standards and the advertising standards to persue this nonsense claim.What we should have now is a law banning councillors to remain in power ,if they switch parties ,without putting themselves up for re election under their new colours.To do otherwise is a betrayal of the electorate,and a travesty.Let them all submit themselves for re election or Quit completely,and for once have honesty and transparancy in RMBC ,which would no doubt be a first..........
