That was put to the people of Britain in a referendum, we voted two to one to be in the E.U. And the Conservatives under Major signed up to Maastricht, giving the E.U. greater powers. So, sorry molly, you are mistaken, it was definitely the Conservatives, with the agreement of the British people, who got us in the E.U.
