cdog,
Forensic science is improving daily and what could not have been solved 40 years ago could today bring closure to the family and friends of these victims and also give them the opportunity in giving their loved ones the burial with the dignity that they deserve.
For the sake of my children, I wholly applaud this action as I do not want my children growing up in a society with murderers who have had the opportunity to roam free within our society for the past 40 years or so.
Also, I cannot imagine the grief of any parent, sister, brother etc to lose a loved one this way and to wonder if I would go to my grave not seeing justice done or even knowing of the final resting place of the person for whom you are mourning.
What crime could warrant time, effort and resources more than murder? This act is no less brutal, horrific or painful whether it be committed 5 days, 5 years or 50 years ago.
