And why is "overtime" a crime? Overtime exists in most businesses. The Police could not run without overtime - what should an officer do at the end of his/her shift when waiting to book a prisoner into custody and prepare some evidence for handing the matter over - walk off??? Is parking outside Greggs illegal? Are Cops not allowed to eat? "Fail to indicate at a roundabout" - yes - they should do - as should everyone - we are all probably guilty of this now and again! 150 minutes to take a statement on road rage - I didn't know there was a performance monitored sprreadsheet on how long statements should take to obtain !! And if the witness is distressed, requires an interpreter - is giving a statement about an indepth incident and the evidence needs to be spot on to reduce challenges at court ...how long should it take then ? Perhaps if the Officer is a new recruit a statement may take longer....but to say no more than 30minutes is a little shortsighted without the full details.
