Audible boos, eh? It's those inaudible ones you have to worry about!
I disagree with all the holier than thou comments about parents bringing their children to the gig. This would be a memory a child would have for life, whether they saw all of the headline act or not - and it's great to see parents introducing their children to decent music at an early age, when they're swamped with fly by night X Factor yodellers and very little else throughout their childhood.
As to the band's late appearance, totally inconsiderate but surely there wasn't a person there who wasn't expecting it? And at two and a half hours they certainly gave more value for money than most acts that pass very quickly through the MEN's portals, charging £50+ a ticket as they do so.
Finally, I heard that people leaving for the last train (ie after four songs) were being asked for their details for a refund - can anyone confirm?
