Hear Hear It really does annoy me that people assume that everyone in a public sector job is a lazy bone-idle idiot with no clue of how to do anything.

The vast majority of us work very hard, for little pay and with little thanks. The so called gold-plated pensions are there because we pay into a pension pot with a sizeable chunk of our income, and the pension company knows how to invest it. Contrary to the usual Daily Moron stories, most of the Councils in Manchester use a pension fund which has generated a surplus each year, and is certainly NOT being topped up by taxes.

Most of us have had our pay cut over recent years aswell as pay freezes across the board, and we work beyond our hours for free - many of us putting in more than twice our paid hours.

We haven't been immune to the cuts and our jobs certainly haven't been secure for a long time.

Walk a mile in a man's shoes and you'll begin to have the right to criticise him.
