I cannot believe some of the negative comments all the time for so called fans of this great club...Ted Knott, Edski, Rick Jenks, tommeybatess and Factilicious either get behind the team and support them or don't bother to call yourselves fans of this club, as your no fan with an attitude like what you have got and should be on the other side of this forum commenting on Trafford Redsox, as your attitude to the club, game and team in general bares an uncanny resemblance to the attitude they show.
Fact is, whether we do manage to make 4th or not will not make me jump off a cliff, or affect our transfer summer activity, I am sure Roberto who wants the title next season, will not think "Oh we ended 5th/6th/7th so we cannot possibly go for the likes of Torres, Fabregas, Hamsik, Cheillini etc", if they are the players we want to sign, then regardless we will go out to buy them, and I don't think being in the CL qualifiers or Europa Lge will make any difference, hell we managed to sign enough quality last season to get the club from midtable nothingness to the brink of CL qualification without ANY European football to offer them.
Players move for various reasons, one will be to move to a club on the up, who are progressing to the very top...City fall into that category, and I am sure lots of top players will see City as a great way to enhance their careers and trophy haul in the future.
Champions Lge would be great, Europa Lge would be great, as it will be the first time since 1979 that Manchester City have qualified for Europe via their League Position and not through treating referee's well, not tackling and selling the cheapest matchday programmes!, and going off last season where we achieved nothing, that would be immense progress.....one thing is for sure United would NOT HAVE progressed this season, instead they have regressed and gone backwards.
