Why do we have time limited driving bans? Anyone banned should be banned for life. This would discourage bad driving, reduce congestion and increase the income and usage of public transport.

Someone caught drink driving has shown they should never be allowed on the road again in exactly the same way that someone convicted of sex or drugs offences has shown that they will never, ever be fit to work with children.
