Hi I'm updating a previous comment.

My mother Lilian Thorley was a war bride from the Miles Platting-Oldham area. She also worked for a firm called Mather & Platts. I now live in Toronto Canada but grew up in North Bay Ontario Canada where my mother emigrated to.
