Eliminate the concept of failure, and you eliminate the concept of success. It follows that effort towards achievement will consequentially wither.

Education is, by its very name, a `leading out` of inner abilities. The educator, the teacher is fundamentally the motivator towards achievement. Can we be surprised that teaching is failing as never before? That achievement is withering?

Why do we misrepresent examination success rates by continually debasing examination academic levels? It is to mask an inexcusable betrayal of young people the State presumes to teach. Ill judged `progressive` `no-failure` education initiatives are a proven disaster.

No one has any right to inflict them on children facing an international community where the prevailing real awareness of competition and genuine achivement leaves UK students hopelessly disadvantaged.
