FC United must avoid complacency if they are to make it eight games without defeat when they host Ossett on Wednesday (7.45pm) according to Karl Marginson.
 
Graham Firth’s 19th-placed side are battling relegation and go into the game on the back of a 7-0 hammering at Boston on Saturday.

However, Marginson insists his players will not take anything for granted as they look to close the gap on the sides above them in the race for the play-offs.

“We’re not looking at their league position,” said the manager.

“We were down there a few months ago but nobody was complacent against us, and we have to approach this game in that same way.

“They’ll gain motivation from coming to play at a great ground like Gigg Lane, but if we can take the positives from the North Ferriby game then we’ll be prepared and ready for them.”

Marginson hopes to have a full-strength squad to choose from, and defender Kyle Jacobs will be available after missing last Saturday’s game to attend the birth of his child.

“We should be at full-strength - we’ve got a really strong squad now with a lot of competition for places,” he said.
