STAND suffered a crushing eight-wicket Lees Lancashire County League defeat at Glossop after being bowled out for just 103 runs.
Professional Amila Weththasinghe and Chris Holt were the only Stand batsmen to reach double figures, hitting 51 runs and 14 respectively.
A thunderstorm denied Stand a full five-point victory in the corresponding second team fixture.
Matt Holt and Lee Chadwick both scored 63 runs as Stand seconds amassed 207 runs from their 47 overs before Glossop seconds’ innings ended prematurely on 82 runs for the loss of eight wickets.
Stand seconds took four points from the game and Stand’s third team overcame Denton West by 88 runs to finally record their first win of the season.
Keiren Wong hit a superb half century for Stand thirds, who made 204 runs from their 40 overs, while Tom Hughes was responsible for 46 runs.
