LAST week’s matches in division one of the Oldham and District Table Tennis League saw Hollinwood B go top of the table after a 7-3 defeat of Saddleworth A.

Second placed Werneth A beat their B team 8-2, while third-placed BAE A were held to a draw by the juniors of OTTC A.

That was also the outcome in the game between two well-matched teams in the form of Grotton A and Hyde YMC A A.

The other games played saw Hollinwood A return from Rosehill A with a 6-4 victory, while BAE B had a convincing 8-2 success at bottom team Rosehill B.

Hollinwood C remain top of division two despite being held to a draw by Honeywell C, keeping them ahead of Werneth C who prevailed 8-2 against Uppermill A.

There were 7-3 wins for Honeywell B and Coldhurst A against Hollinwood E and bottom club Grotton B respectively.

Hollinwood D drew their match with Hyde YMCA B, Failsworth A defeated Werneth D 9-1, while Unison A earned their first win of the season, seeing off Pennine 6-4.

Division three saw leaders Honeywell D stay clear at the top despite losing 6-4 at Gilders Tackle.

That was the margin of victory enjoyed by Failsworth C against Unison C, while Coldhurst B saw off their C team 9-1.

There were 8-2 success for Droylsden and Saddleworth CC B against Uppermill B and Coldhurst D respectively, Unison C triumphed 7-3 at Deaf Club A, while Failsworth B and Owls A could not be split.

Division four frontrunners Unison D were 7-3 victors against basement side Werneth F.

Second-placed Owls B drew with OTTC C, Honeywell E and St Saviours won 7-3 against Deaf Club B and Werneth E respectively, Honeywell F beat Werneth G 6-4, while OTTC B saw off Coldhurst E 9-1.
