THE latest games in the Oldham and District Table Tennis League saw OTTC A record a 7-3 win over last season’s runners-up, Werneth A.

BAE A however retained the leadership in division one by defeating Rosehill B 10-0, while Rosehill’s A side was beaten by a weakened Hyde YMCA A team

In the other first division matches, Honeywell Lane A beat Saddleworth CC A 7-3, the score by which Hollinwood B and Grotton A defeated Werneth B and BAE B respectively.

Division two saw Werneth D move into top spot with an 8-2 defeat of Grotton B.

Honeywell Lane B shared the points against Unison A, a similar result being recorded by Unison A against Honeywell Lane C.

Coldhurst A beat Hollinwood E 8-2, Hyde YMCA B gained their first win of the season with victory over Pennine, while Honeywell Lane C and Uppermill A achieved hard fought victories against Failsworth A and Hyde YMCA B respectively.

Division three leaders Honeywell Lane D prevailed 7-3 over Unison B, while Coldhurst C saw off Deaf Club A 8-2.

The remaining third division matches all resulted in 7-3 scores, Coldhurst B beating Failsworth B, Gilders defeating Failsworth C and newcomers Droylsden defeating Coldhurst D.

Leading the field in division four are Unison D who beat OTTC B.

It proved to be a bad week for two of the Werneth sides as the G team lost 10-0 to Owls B while the match between Werneth’s E and F sides went the way of the former, also 10-0.

The newly-formed Deaf Club B team continued to make progress by beating Coldhurst E 8-2, while Deaf Club B defeated Honeywell Lane F 6-4.
