THE Roughyeds entered into a one-off shirt sponsorship deal with Holland’s Pies for their opening match of the 2010 season.

The company’s logo was worn by the Oldham players in a creditable 24-12 defeat at Leigh Centurions.

Gary Brooks, national accounts manager for Holland’s, was a guest of the Oldham club at Sunday’s game.

"We supply 95 per cent of the chip shops in Oldham," he said. "We were pleased to get involved with Roughyeds. Pies and rugby league, and other sports like football, sit snugly together."
