CITY boss Stuart Pearce is looking forward to meeting up with former Blue, Shaun Wright-Phillips, tomorrow and reckons that, should the England winger line up against his old club for the first time, the Blues followers will give him a generous reception.
"I think our fans still think of him as one of their own and I am sure he will get a great reception," said the manager. "Shaun was at our game on Monday and I think City still has a place in his heart."
And Pearce defended the winger after Alan Shearer branded him a diver following the Newcastle FA Cup tie.
"I have seen the reports but I can only base my view on Shaun from working with him here for four years and he is not a diver," said Pearce.
The City boss may field a five-man midfield leaving Darius Vassell to forage alone up front. The absence of so many engine-room personnel could also hand a rare first start to Lee Croft.
Can SWP expect a warm reception from City fans? Have your say.

Ok he went to Chelsea. But any player in the right mind would for the price Chelsea paid. P.s any player would of gone for that free kick against Newcastle - Including half of the Man United Team
