HEYSIDE Angels’ under-16s team won their derby against the club’s claret squad 4-1, Vicki Melia (two), Rachel McHugh and Lucy Nixon with their goals while Lauren Parkinson scored the clarets’ consolation.

There was a 17-1 victory for the under-14s against Meltham Athletic thanks to Rhema Mears (five), Katie Jones (four), Abbie Andrews (three), Katie Royston, Jessica Cooke (two each) and Beth Giblin.

The under-13s’ Inter squad saw off Rochdale FC 7-0 with goals from Leoni Harland, Paige Rowland, Phoebe Dunne (two each) and Sophie Montgomery, while Beth Mellor (three) and Kelly Ward gave the clarets a 4-2 win over Denton Town.

Alix Sephton (two), Natalie Giblin, Sophie Holden and Ashleigh Dickenson gave the under-12s a 5-2 win over Oldham Athletic.

Their under-11s’ Inter team defeated the clarets 1-0 thanks to Hannah Smedley’s goal, while the under-10s’ white squad lost 5-0 to Delamere Rangers.
