LAST weekend’s North Bury League matches saw Chadderton Park’s under-eights’ Eagles side beat Radcliffe Borough 5-1 with Ellis Simms and Luke Bertenshaw both scoring.
The Lions were also successful, beating Woodbank Reds 9-4 with Callum Turley, Daniel Clinch and Jordan Henson finding the net.
A 10-1 win over Unsworth extended the under-nines’ Eagles’ advantage at the top of the table, Jimmy Greaves, George Whiteside-Burns (three each), Christian Thickett (two), Lucas Kavanagh and Adam Thompson on target.
The Lions are second in their table, beating Little Lever 12-1 with goals from Joe Gregory (six), Josef Rimmer (five) and Lewis Unwin.
The under-10s’ A side reached the next round of the cup as Cameron Homer (two) and Nathan McGowan gave them a 3-1 win over Marauder Rays.
Their B team kept their 100 per cent record with a 2-0 defeat of Pennine Juniors, Sam Carr and Ryan Salloway scoring.
The under-11s’ Eagle squad reached the next round of the Rochdale and Oldham Sunday League squad, beating Northside 5-3 with Alex Todd, Luke Jones, Jack Garside and O Radcliffe scoring.
