ONLY Werneth and Royton managed to avoid Saturday’s showers as the Lake Garage CLL fixture list was affected by the rain.
Leaders Walsden prevailed by 33 runs against Werneth in a match reduced to 32 overs per side.
Walsden had batted first and reached 165-6 from their allocation of overs, Alan Durose taking four wickets for the home side.
However, Werneth were all out for 132 in reply with visiting professional Rasika Priyadarshana capturing six wickets.
However, Royton were successful as they clinched a five-wicket, final-over victory against Milnrow.
With both sides having 28 overs to bat, Milnrow went in first and set their hosts a target of 161-9 with John Punchard collecting six wickets for Royton.
In reply, Ryan Carters (42) and Andrew Morris (49) set the foundations for Royton as Luke Procter’s unbeaten 30 took them across the finishing line.
Elsewhere, Crompton and Oldham saw their respective games against Monton and Weaste and Littleborough abandoned without a ball being bowled.
