A 54-year-old man has been taken to hospital with head injuries after reports of a disturbance on Egerton Street.

Police were called to the scene at 1.50pm, on Monday, March 15, when they discovered the man.

He was taken to hospital and said to be in a stable and recovering condition.

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and remain in police custody for questioning.
