The Stalybridge Archery Club member achieved A grades in chemistry, maths and further maths as well as a B in physics at Glossopdale Community College.

Noah, 18, from Droylsden gained straight A grades in maths, chemistry and biology and will now study medicine at Manchester.

Stephanie Wood, 18, got an incredible 600 out of 600 in her A level in fine art during the two year course at St Bede’s College in Manchester.

Michael Trueman, a student at Hyde Clarendon Sixth Form College, picked up straight As in maths, physics and chemistry and a fourth in AS level further maths.

The college’s high flyers applied for prestigious places and all five were successful, with an almost even split between the two top universities.

Niall Thompson – just 15 – is to study maths after getting top grades in five subjects at Ashton Sixth Form College.

Terry, of Moorland Road, Carrbrook, Stalybridge, is to study medicine after getting four As and a C.
