Simply write a cheque made payable to MEN Media, and write including your name, address and the code number of the picture (you'll find this at the end of the caption to each non-submitted picture below) to Oldham Advertiser, MEN Media, Mitchell Henry House, Hollinwood Avenue, Chadderton, Oldham OL9 8EF.

YOU can also add your own pictures of the borough to add to this collection. Simply e-mail it to Oldham Advertiser (JPEGs only please) at oldhamadvertiser@menmedia.co.uk, including your name, address, description of your picture and a contact telephone number, and we'll do the rest.

You don't always fully appreciate a place until you leave it, I reckon. Living away from Oldham and Saddleworth in particular, makes me much more appreciative of them when I come home each summer.

This is a beautiful photograph however its not Dobcross village but is a picture of Saddleworth church and the Church Inn, Uppermill.
