CHEETHAM Hill capped off a successful weekend on Sunday with victory over Roe Green CC after beating Stand CC on the Saturday.

Hill, who seem to have hit top form as they go into the final third of the season, won both games comfortably.

At home on Saturday, Hill batted first reaching 266-7 the biggest contribution coming from Pakistani pro Humayun Farhat who smashed a memorable 70 ball hundred.

After losing a wicket in the first over of their reply Stand never looked capable of chasing down the runs and crumbled to 131 all out. Hill were home again on Sunday against a Roe Green side who were depleted by injury and players on holiday.

Roe Green batting first could only manage 134ao, failing to even bat out all their overs. Hill succeeded in chasing down their target, losing just three wickets on route to victory.

Hills star performers with the bat was Y Anwar (55no) who was well supported by pro Humayun (40) who smashed two sixes out of the ground.
