Rangers marching on four fronts

Langley Rangers came from behind to trump reigning champions Billy Greens 4-2 on their home turf.

Billy Greens struck the first blow, grabbing the lead inside quarter of an hour when Liam Murray nicked in, converting the low cross into the bottom corner.

Billy Greens continued to dominate the game and doubled their advantage with a breakaway goal.

Rangers reacted positively straight from kick off, John Buckley’s effort parried to the feet of Kyle Parsons who applied the finish. Minutes into the second period Rangers scored an equaliser through Sam Freakes.

Thomas Greenwood then found the net for Rangers’ third, beating Mark Simms in Billys goal.

There was still time for a fourth on 85 minutes when Jack Lyons’ quick thinking caught Greens by surprise, his free-kick lobbed over the stranded Simms.

The result meant Rangers marched on in style, still targeting four trophies come the end of the season.
