The old boys of Fothergill and Harvey’s have pipped local rivals Littleborough to the North Manchester second division title in a close-fought season in which both teams were neck and neck down to the last day.

Littleborough’s downfall came at Rock Nook, home of Fothergill’s, where Boro’s abundance of under 18s struggled to bowl on the wet surface, resulting in a delayed start and a 20-overs-a-side thrash, which suited a more experienced Harvey’s side.
