Middleton misery at Littleborough

Littleborough kept their faint hopes of a top-five finish alive with a 45-run defeat of Middleton at Hare Hill on Sunday, writes Mark Wilbraham.

After posting 207 for five, Boro dismissed the visitors for 162, although they had to wait until the last over to clinch the maximum five-points.

Beaten both ways

It was another weekend of double disappointment for Middleton, who were comprehensively defeated by title contenders Milnrow and then narrowly lost at Clifton.
