HERE’S a paws for thought – could you give a pet a home?
As part of National Pet Adoption Week the RSPCA Rochdale branch is hoping to rehome many of the abandoned animals it has in its care at the moment.
Deputy manager Chan Taylor said: "At the moment we have got lots of different animals here of various ages that could make someone very happy as a pet.
"As it is the start of kitten season we will soon be over-run.
"We have no trouble rehoming the kittens, but it’s the mums and older cats who struggle to find a home."
The centre is currently housing cats, kittens, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, mice, ferrets, birds and one dog all in need of a loving home.
All animals can be adopted subject to a home visit and have all been neutered.
Cats rehomed through the centre are vaccinated, wormed and de-flead for an adoption fee of £40.
The centre is open every day except Wednesday from 11.30am until 3.30pm.
