The pregnant United Nations goodwill ambassador spoke of her admiration for the Chancellor's commitment to providing an education for every child in the world. Speaking from Namibia, south west Africa, the actress said in response to a question about whether Mr Brown would make a good Prime Minister: "I hope he does have the chance to do more and more good things. I think he certainly will if he has the chance, so yes, I would like to see it."
In response, Mr Brown said Ms Jolie had shown "inspirational leadership".
