Jolie backs Brown for PM

PRAISE: Angelina Jolie

HOLLYWOOD star Angelina Jolie gave her support to a Gordon Brown premiership as she heaped praise on his role in a global education campaign.

The pregnant United Nations goodwill ambassador spoke of her admiration for the Chancellor's commitment to providing an education for every child in the world. Speaking from Namibia, south west Africa, the actress said in response to a question about whether Mr Brown would make a good Prime Minister: "I hope he does have the chance to do more and more good things. I think he certainly will if he has the chance, so yes, I would like to see it."

In response, Mr Brown said Ms Jolie had shown "inspirational leadership".

Well said Sue in Salford, a Hollywood actress making comments about the election of a possible future prime minister, when she doesn't have to live here is out of order. I shudder when I think that one day that man, who is in favour of a nanny state, and ID cards, as well as having voted for the Iraq war, and the illegal occupation of the country, will someday be our PM.

OMG, OMG! Jennifer Jolie is just so awesome!! I've got all her albums and use to think she was "ab fab" in Dynasty! I will definitely be voting "New Celebrity Labour" from now on.

Just another celebrity pretending to care about the world. If she was so bothered about starving children in Africa she should give all her money away. Oh thats right she hasnt. How she can have any opinion on Labour, Gordo Brown is a joke. Try sorting out the politicians in your own country first!!
